Glitch Art
This is an example of the painterly effects that can be achieved by playing incomplete mpeg files under certain conditions. My aim is to define the cause and achieve some control over the end result of this glitch using a hex editor. This type of work is often referred to as 'databending' and 'glitch art'.

An example of an audio glitch can be heard on the track 'test transmission' from my band koe's 'stem the tide' album, where deleted (cached) audio files were played through Windows Media Player, resulting in severely chopped playback.
